Vostok Europe Vilnelė Diamond Solar Quartz Watch with Mother-of-pearl Dial.
The Vilnelė line takes its name from the river that runs through Vilnius past Castle Hill, a name meaning little wave in Lithuanian. The Vilnelė Diamond has 8 diamonds set on a mother-of-pearl dial. Its stainless steel 316L case measures 39 mm in diameter and 11.7 mm thick.
The Japanese-made S.Epson VS42 solar-powered quartz caliber powers the hours, minutes, and seconds and runs for 12 months on a full charge. A sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating covers the dial, and the bezel is cut in a wave pattern.
Super-LumiNova coats the hands and indices. The blue leather strap measures 20 mm at the lugs and fastens with a buckle.

What is the Vilnelė?
The river that runs through Vilnius past Castle Hill. Its name means little wave in Lithuanian, and the bezel of the line is cut in a wave to match it. Vostok Europe has built its watches in Vilnius, Lithuania, since August 2003, using Russian movements until 2014 and Japanese movements since.
How long does it run on a charge?
About 12 months from a full charge. A solar cell under the dial converts any light into energy stored in a rechargeable cell, so daylight or a lamp keeps it running.
How hard is the sapphire crystal?
Synthetic sapphire sits at 9 on the Mohs scale, just under diamond, so everyday abrasives leave it unmarked. The dome directs reflections toward the rim, and the coating reduces the rest.
Does it wear as big as the diameter suggests?
The distance between the lugs decides that, and here it is 46.5 mm. That span sits across the top of the wrist and matters more than the 39 mm of the case.
Who makes the movement?
Seiko Epson in Japan. Vostok Europe used Russian movements until 2014 and Japanese suppliers since, so the case is assembled in Lithuania around a Japanese quartz caliber.
