Briston Streamliner Kennedy Automatic Watch with Black Dial.
Streamliner Kennedy brings a square case to the Streamliner line, designed for the Sporting Life of polo grounds and golf weekends. A lapis lazuli cabochon is set in the crown at 12 o’clock. The Streamliner Kennedy Automatic is the collection’s ultra-thin automatic, displaying hours, minutes, and central seconds. Its vertically brushed stainless steel case has cellulose acetate sides, measures 36 mm, and is 10 mm thick.
A Japanese Miyota 9039 automatic caliber sits beneath a sapphire crystal. It runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour and has a 42-hour power reserve. A see-through window in the 316L case back reveals the movement, which can be started by hand with a few turns of the crown.
The black 2-layer dial features a white subdial, hollowed Roman and Arabic numerals, a railway minute track and a guilloché center. Super-LumiNova C1 inserts mark the brushed steel dauphine hands. A matte black vintage leather strap in 2 parts, 20 mm wide, fastens with a steel pin buckle.

What inspired the Streamliner Kennedy?
The collection was designed for the Sporting Life, from polo grounds to golf weekends. Briston, the independent French brand founded by Brice Jaunet in 2013, offers it in quartz or automatic versions with interchangeable straps. Its Streamliner line takes its shape from the Streamline movement of the late 1930s.
What is set in the crown?
A lapis lazuli cabochon is set in the polished steel crown at 12 o’clock. This detail is shared across the Streamliner Kennedy collection.
How water resistant is it?
According to the Briston manual, its 5 ATM, or 50 m, rating is intended for moderate water exposure, such as hand-washing, rain, or showering.
How long does it keep going off the wrist?
About 42 hours from a full wind. Wearing it keeps it wound, and after a longer rest a few turns of the crown start it again.
How well does the crystal hold up?
Sapphire rates 9 on the Mohs scale and is among the most scratch-resistant materials in watchmaking. Few things encountered in normal wear will mark it, although a severe impact can still crack it.
