    • Montblanc has created the fountain pen Writers Edition paying tribute to Jane Austen to celebrate one of the most famous authors of English literature.
    • This edition revives the Regency era, when noble estates were the setting for grand parties held for the purpose of cultivating social relationships and forging matrimonial alliances. The fluting of a classic column embellishes the elegant sandstone gray resin body, along with Jane Austen's signature. The contrasting blue-gray cap references the type of Regency double-collared coat often worn by gentlemen such as Mr. Darcy in Pride and Prejudice. The clip, shaped like a braided cord, is reminiscent of a “reticule,” a type of purse used by women around 1800 to carry their powder, mirror and indispensable pocket handkerchief.
    • The only known silhouette of Jane Austen, showing her delicate features, is immortalized as an artistic engraving on the handcrafted rhodium-plated solid Au 750 gold nib.
